He is a very influential voice in Conservatism and is a huge supporter of Vietnam War Draft Dodger President  Donald Trump. On Wednesday's broadcast of The Limbaugh Show he seemed to be advocating for conservative states to secede from the American Union saying two opposing political parties could not co-exist. In essence a divided country must split. On Thursday's radio rantorama Rush denied promoting secession. Limbaugh must have felt the heat.
